When doors open do you step through?
Do you see when doors open for you? Summer is full of opportunities and expansion but you have to be able to see them.
I teach people about manifesting and one of the common misconceptions I hear is that manifesting is just about positive thinking. This is very much not true!
I was explaining to my 9 year old son last week that we need to see when doors open. It is up to us if we step through them or not but when a door opens it’s because we have put a desire out into the universe. I’ll explain it now to you how I explained it to him.
He went for his first football trial last week with a football club to join their elite coaching programme. He was excited but also nervous. It was his first experience and felt a bit of pressure on the outcome.
I reminded him of all the times he had told me his wishes. Every time he blew out his candles on his birthday cake, or blew the little wish fairies from the dandelion, he would tell me that he wanted to be a famous footballer, or play for a really good team or be good enough one day to play professional football. These were and still are his wishes and dreams. Those dreams are put out into the universe. They are kept in a bubble (called the vortex, although it’s not an actual bubble but it helps explain it to a 9 year old).
Once that dream is there, the universe gets to work. It will start to create opportunities, it will start to open doors. I explained that it doesn’t happen over night and you have to be willing to play with the universe along the way. How much fun would it be to wake up and see all your trophies on the wall without the journey!
So, this trial he had coming, this was an open door that had been created for his journey up towards his dream. It was up to him if he was going to step through it. Nobody knows what will happen when you step through that door other than it will be a step closer. He might not make the cut for the coaching programme but now he will know what it feels like to go for a trial. He might get a real hunger to go after his dreams even more. Or he might be accepted. Who knows!
He looked at me and said “Mum, I’m stepping through that door tomorrow.”
And he did. I am so proud of him. He's been invited back this week as the coaches were impressed and want to see him playing with the team. He is working towards his dreams and hopefully he’ll now see when more doors open.
What big dream do you have? And do you see when the doors open? Let me know in the comments.
